The Murals
the mural Project
In 1998, the IRC began an initiative to decorate one of the Innis Residence common rooms with a mural designed and painted by residents. This mural was completed in the spring of 2000, and the room subsequently became known as the Fishbowl.
In 2021, inspired by this mural and its history, the IRC began an initiative to decorate the building's stairwells with new murals that both reflect and add to Innis's unique culture.
After three years, the Mural Project has finally been completed. We are incredibly grateful for all the support we have received from the community, especially from everyone who submitted mural designs and who volunteered to help us paint. Thanks, y'all; this project would not have been possible without you :)
Make sure you check out all the designs we received this year below!
P.S. Check back next semester to see what else we'll be working on.
Winning Designs
These designs were carefully selected by the Residence Life team and the IRC's Mural Subcommittee. Expect to learn more about them in the coming months!

Thank you to everyone who submitted a design, even if you didn't win. Selecting designs was a difficult task, and we appreciate all the support you've given us just by submitting your art.

Acknowledgments
We would like to thank the Innis Residence Council for their contributions, including the members of the Mural Project Subcommittee — Nicole Jacquette, Cindy Lei, Cynthia Li, and Charlie Olsen. We would also like to thank Dylon McLean, Jason Brennan, and the whole OSL team for their support. Further, we would like to thank the members of the 2021-2022 Mural Project Committee, chaired by President Emerita Mira Ghosh, for laying the foundations for today's Mural Project. Finally, we would like to thank the Innis community as a whole — this project would not be possible without all of you!
